Dress Code & Personal Appearance Guide

Wearing a branded company shirt is a privilege and a reflection of the high standards we uphold at Luxury Coastal Escapes. It signifies professionalism, teamwork, and the trust our guests and homeowners place in us. As this is a paid position, we expect all staff to dress appropriately and take pride in their appearance during working hours. Your uniform and overall presentation contribute to the luxury experience we provide—always wear it with confidence and respect for the brand.

General Appearance

LCE Staff must always be well-groomed, clean, and presentable

Personal hygiene is essential

Hair should be clean and neatly styled. Unnatural hair colours (e.g., pink, blue, green) are not permitted—hair colour should remain within natural tones as per the standard hair colour chart.

As a senior LCE staff, we are leaders, and our staff look up to us for guidance and professionalism. It is our responsibility to lead by example, setting the standard for presentation, behaviour, and work ethic. The way we carry ourselves directly impacts the reputation of the company and the experience we provide. Always wear your uniform with pride, knowing that you represent a brand built on excellence.

Uniform & Dress Code

When not in uniform, smart casual attire is required—neat blouses, shirts, and trousers or skirts (knee-length or longer).

Ripped jeans or jean shorts are not permitted.

Company-branded clothing should be worn for professional meetings or owner/guests/staff facing tasks.

On-Site & Housekeeping Staff

A company uniform must be worn at all times.

Comfortable, closed-toe shoes must be worn for safety reasons.

Hair should be neatly tied back, and minimal jewellery is allowed (no large hoops or dangling pieces).

Uniform Rules and Professionalism

  • Wear the provided uniform at all times: black, navy, grey or white only

  • Keep uniforms clean and ironed.

  • Wear appropriate, non-slip footwear: black slobs, Tommy tekkies or similar

  • Hair needs to be neat and tied back.

  • Professional Behaviour and Presentation

  • Be punctual and reliable.

  • Maintain a polite and courteous demeanour.

PERSONAL HYGIENE

Undergarments: It’s essential that everyone wears appropriate and clean underwear and all women must wear a bra while on duty. This helps ensure both comfort and a professional appearance.

Deodorant: Please use underarm deodorant daily to maintain freshness throughout your shift. It helps in creating a pleasant environment for our guests.

General Clothing Guidelines for All Staff

No torn jeans, jean shorts, or tie-dye clothing is allowed.

Shorts should be golf-style.

No crop tops or overly revealing clothing.

Beyond work, we should all consider this as a general guide for any professional career and as a reflection of personal self-respect. Dressing appropriately, maintaining good hygiene, and presenting ourselves well are not just workplace expectations but essential habits that contribute to confidence, credibility, and success in any environment.
