THE DRIVEWAY

Please note that while some guests may find our driveway to be steep, others may not perceive it in the same way. Factors such as individual driving experience, vehicle type, and personal comfort levels can greatly influence one's perception of steepness.

HOUSEKEEPING

Included in your rental 7 days a week (excluding public holidays)

For more info on our housekeeping services, hours and laundry, please follow this link to our Housekeeper's page for duties and responsibilities.

Please Note: there will be scheduled visits from contracted pool service and gardeners.

These visits are essential to ensure that the amenities and outdoor spaces are in top condition for your enjoyment. The pool service and gardeners will have limited access to the yard area during specific times.

BACK UP POWER

This house does get effected by the loadshedding schedule.

In the event of loadshedding rechargeable lamps are available in the bedrooms and a gas hob for cooking and borehole water and Jojo water tanks.

The house now benefits from a battery and inverter system which kicks in automatically in the event of a power failure or load shedding. This system will run the entire house, except air conditioning units for up to 3 hours. If no power returns to the house and the batteries are running low, there is a generator that can then be used. Please note that the generator is to only be used at night where necessary.

There is a gas hob in the kitchen with gas kettle to allow guests to cook and boil water as well as a gas/charcoal braai outside to allow for cooking.

SECURITY & ALARM

To set the alarm please observe the following.

RED is a panic button, should you push this the security will arrive within 5 minutes.

WHITE will set the beams all around the home.

GREEN will set the internal sensors.

Blue will disarm all areas.

You will hear the siren beep when arming or disarming.

Should the alarm go off during the night the security company, Alpha security, will arrive within minutes, they have their own gate control to enter.

During December/January peak times there will be security patrols by armed guards at night.
